Monterey Peninsula visitors should consider staying in Seaside California or Marina California, two small towns just north of the city of Monterey. Seaside and Marina are right on the coast with great beach access, uncrowded dunes and wide open spaces to explore. A short drive on Highway 1 takes you to Monterey and all the attractions offered there. Seaside has a golf course among its attractions and Marina has a full service resort.
